Biodynamic Craniosacral

"I am treating to restore health; I am not treating to correct the problem. In treating this way, I have opened the doors for the body to try to do what it wants to, with its own living forces".

Dr Rollin Becker D.O

"Unresolved stressful or traumatic experiences may be retained in the body and so restrict our natural capacity to heal.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy provides a non-invasive and effective way to resolve these patterns of conditioning and so allow normal function to return".

Michael Kern D.O, RSCT, M.I.Cr.A, N.D.

WHAT IS CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY?

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique, developed by an osteopathic physician, Dr William G. Sutherland, almost a hundred years ago. You might think of it as a cross between chiropractic or osteopathic manoeuvres and hands-on energy healing.

By gently working with the spine, the head, diaphragms and fascia, the restrictions of nerve passages are eased, the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord is optimised and misaligned bones are restored to their proper position. Craniosacral therapists use the therapy to treat mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ Syndrome, and for chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.

Craniosacral Therapy deals  efficiently with trauma that a person cannot speak of or prefer not to speak of. It can sometimes be too scary to talk about difficult things and craniosacral can help process challenges in our past, through the body and nervous system, without the need of revisiting them.

Just as a cardiologist seeks to improve the cardiovascular system, a Craniosacral Practitioner helps optimise the pulse of the craniosacral rhythm, which brings about good health and balance of the body and mind.

“It’s a form of bodywork consisting of exceedingly light finger and hand pressure upon the cranial bones and the sacrum, and upon the involuntary movements of these bones,” says Dr. Milne.

Whether it is Physical or emotional, trauma affects the body and mind in a myriad of ways. In fact Trauma is not only psychological, but the memories of Trauma stay held in the body, as a physiological experience.

A Craniosacral Therapist can help restore balance to bring back good health in conditions from:

Chronic pain, stress, depression, anxiety, ear infections, jaw pain, migraines, and joint stiffness

To:

Pregnancy problems, dyslexia, spinal cord injuries, coordination impairments, anger and more.

Craniosacral Therapy is beneficial for Children and adolescents, and helps with:

  • Learning disabilities, A.D.D., A.D.H.D;

  • Gross and fine motor problems;

  • Developmental delays, autism;

  • Concussion, and post concussion symptoms;

  • Tinnitus, hearing loss and vertigo;

  • TMJ syndrome;

  • Stress disorders and insomnia...

  • New born irritability and restlessness
